Ran 17 miles this past week.


Had two tough weeks, I am happy to have a few days off so I can increase my running and lifting.

Summer of Running = 217

This past summer I ran a ton...at least I think I did.  Here is the breakdown from June 1st - August 31st:

June - 74 miles
July - 68 miles
August - 75 miles
Total - 217 miles run!

I have to admit I am pretty proud of those numbers.  I think the most I have ever run in a summer is like 1 mile.  I know I used to play a lot of basketball and volleyball but those are not exactly the same thing.  Oh and running is an activity not a sport...just wanted to clear that up.

I have one goal and that is to run 100 miles in a month.  I have no idea when I can do that, it is getting cold now and it is hard to run over 8 on the treadmill.  Oh well not excuses....

Over 30 miles.......I need rest

Since I ran over 30 miles last week I decided to take Tuesday and Wednesday off to relax.  I ran 6 miles last night...it was tough.  I wanted to quit about 2 miles in but somehow struggled through it.

I have my diet where I needs it now.  I have changed to only healthy meals and a ton of protein!

Looks like I need to run about 15 miles this weekend....should be fun...

Wednesday late night run

Got home today and did P90X Plyometrics...lots of jumping.
Ran a mile before my treadmill died on me....

Around midnight I ran 4 miles while watching the Pens...

Tuesday Workout.....sleeping kids and tosh.0

Got a 45 minute workout in before I helped put the kids to bed:

Chest:  Dumbbell push up rows, dumbbell chest press, flys
Biceps:  Dumbbell curls, kettle bell curls
Triceps: Dumbbell kickbacks, Dumbbell Extensions

After kids went to sleep ran 3 miles.
Side note, do not watch Tosh.0 while running....way too funny!
